ANTI RACISM POLICY

 

View this email in your browser Caversham Working Men's Social Club Dear members, Due to a recent racist incident at the club the committee has decided that our members need to be made aware of the anti racist stance that will now be enforced at the club. There is no place for racism in our club. Don't fool yourself that you are not a racist if you use derogatory racist language. Make yourself aware as to what is acceptable behaviour and speech. This should apply to any group of people that can be victimised, e.g. BAME, LGBTQ+. Don't let yourself down, don't let the club down. We are researching to find information leaflets to be available at the club for educational purposes. Various posters will be put up at the club to re-enforce how serious the club will be taking any racist incidents. Please take time to read the posters. The following poster details the club policy on handling all racist offences. Ray Hughes Passed Away

 

Good Afternoon Gentlemen We have today received notice that ex-Member Ray Hughes passed away last week He was a member of the snooker team for many years - even having his name on one of the boards in the snooker room Our condolences go to his family and friends Ray's funeral is being held at St. Michael's church - Sonning Common - Tuesday 7th at 11am RIP Ray Hughes Kind Regards Dave Alder Club Secretary

Jubilee Colouring Competition
It's half term for the kids, so I have to ask - is your child bored? Yes?
Then come on in to the club and pick up a crown from behind the bar, get them to decorate it or just colour it in, prizes for the best judged crown's will be given out on Saturday, put your kids name on the list behind the bar if you want them to enter the competition
There is a prize for EVERY ENTRY - with special prizes for each age category
