Caversham Working Men's Social Club
Good Day Gentlemen.

Please note that the annual membership renewal subscription is due from the Thursday 2nd January, 2025.

Renewal Fees can be paid and Membership Cards are available for pick up from the bar on the Thursday 2nd January, 2025.

Please renew by handing over your till card so that we can link payment to your membership.

Fees have stayed the same as last year -

£25.00         under 65
£20.00         65+

You will still be able to renew in February, but will be charged an additional late fee of £5.

Members who have not renewed by the end of February will have their membership cancelled and will have to go through an application to re-join.

The membership is full at this time, but this could change by the end of February.

We now have a waiting list of 100 people which will mean that it will become harder to re-join.

If you are receiving this email because you are on the waiting list then you will be contacted in March for an invite to join, if there is space available.

Please do visit the club to pay your renewal subscription and pick up your new membership card by the end of January 2025. Cheques are not accepted.

If you now anyone who will not be able to attend the club due to unforeseen circumstance then please do let me know.

Some members will not see this renewal request. Please do spread the word to the other members to help remind them.

Note: Renewals are not available after 8pm on Fridays.

Kind Regards,

Membership and New Application for Membership Information as at 1st April, 2022

 Good Day Gentlemen

Just a quick update on membership and new member applications.

We are fast approaching the clubs initial membership limit for this year, only 60 spaces left.

If you have proposed or seconded a new application for membership and that person has not heard from me by now then it is either -

  1. We have an incorrect email
  2. The email went to junk/spam.
  3. No email was given to us for contact.
  4. The application is recent and has not been processed yet.
If an application was only received in the last 4 weeks then it will go before the committee on the 12th April. A list of new applicants will then be posted on the notice board on Wednesday 13th for member approval. New applicants will receive notification a week later to pick a date for their intake meeting. Dates available below.

Please do check with the people you proposed / seconded to see if they still want to become members.

Amazingly I have 56 people who applied to join the club over the last 6 months but have not followed up their application.

If they do want to join then they can arrange to meet me on one of the many intake dates that are arranged for the rest of the year, to complete their membership application,

Make sure that they let me know which date they will attend to join the club, via email to cavershamwmclub@btconnect.com

These are the dates and additional information
