Good Morning Gentlemen "RIP Boiled Water - You Will Be Mist" So, the sun is out, its a beautiful morning and today is 'live music day' Yes, We have Actress & singing sensation 'SARAH EASTWOOD' Sarah will be here at 3pm - So come on in & enjoy a great afternoon of sing-a-long songs that everyone will enjoy "I'm reading a book about anti-gravity - I'm finding it really hard to put this book down" We have introduced our latest guest beer - Hobgoblin Pale Ale. Along with the long anticipated Carlsberg Pilsner replacing Becks Vier "I just watched a documentary about beavers - Best dam show I've ever seen" With all TV's now fully functional - Including the smoking area - There is plenty of sport for you to enjoy - With the introduction of new speakers - the sound quality within the club has dramatically improved "Don't ever try to eat a clock - It's very time consuming" That's All For Now! Good Afternoon Gentlemen "Did u hear about the fire at the circus? - It was In Tents" So the good news is - we have an extra large TV in the function room The bad news is - We were gonna use it to entertain the families on family day - unfortunately we have to suspend family fun day until later in the year  - We only have 2 members of staff available for August 25th In the meantime Sarah Eastwood will still be here to entertain us - Between 3pm & 6pm Sunday 25th "I stayed up all night to see where the sun went - Then it dawned on me" Don't forget that we have Seniors Afternoon on Wednesday 21st August - Closing date is Sunday 18th - So you need to add your name to the list behind the bar before the closing date Due to the brewery no longer delivering this product - Becks Vier has almost gone - We will be changing to Carlsberg Pilsner sometime this week - So look out for that! "I made a belt out of some old watches - It was a waist of time" It has come to my attention that some members have forgotten the rules of the club in relation to "drinking up time" - So just as a reminder here are the drinking up times "Last Orders will be called 30 minutes before closing" "Drinking up time is 20 minutes after last orders have been called" Therefor you have 10 minutes to take your empty glass to the bar - say goodnight to everyone including the bar staff - make your way to the exit and leave quietly before the door is locked at closing time Please DO NOT keep the bar staff waiting at closing time whilst you sit there drinking at your own leisure I will monitor this situation closely "5/4 of People admit they are bad at fractions" That's All For Now!

Good Afternoon Gentlemen "I tried to write this with a broken pencil - But it was pointless" Just a small reminder of upcoming events Quiz Night Tuesday 6th at 8pm with the chicken and the egg duo - Guy and Dave - Pluck them or peel them they will still be "yolking" around during the quiz We went to a chicken dating agency the other day but they were closed down - Apparently they couldn't make Hens Meet - "Thanks Bill" Seniors Afternoon Wednesday 21st is our golden Oldie Day - Entertainment for the elder members of the club to enjoy - Music, Food and Quiz makes for a great social afternoon - Starts at 2pm and finishes at 5pm Family Day Sunday 25th we are holding a family day for everyone - With music, food, games for the kids, maybe even throw in a little karaoke for the kids - Starts at 12 midday until 3pm At 3pm we welcome singing sensation SARAH EASTWOOD - she will be entertaining you until 6pm At 6pm we have games for the whole family to enjoy until 8pm Jolly Boy's Outing The destination for this event has changed - The outing is now going to PORTSMOUTH Support for Southend was extremely low - The date of September 21st remains the same I keep trying to forget my awful trip to boomarang land - but it keeps coming back That's All For Now!
