Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May 2022, news

Good Morning Gentlemen

I hope this email finds you well - unlike myself, I have a "Heavy cold"

It's Bank Holiday Monday today, the club will be open from midday until 8pm tonight

Did you know - Bank Holiday's were first introduced by Banker 'Sir John Lubbock' in 1871

A reminder that tomorrow night is Quiz Night  - Starting at 8pm - Bill Kukstas is relaxing in the south of France, so Guy Cleall will be your Quiz Master for the evening - its £1 per person to enter - a maximum of 6 players per team

FA Cup Final - Saturday 14th - We will be showing the match between Liverpool & Chelsea on the big screen in the function room

Family Fortunes
'Yes' its happening again - following the success of the first quiz back in March - Bill will be hosting the second family fortunes quiz on Tuesday 17th - normal rules apply and kick off is at 8pm

World Whiskey Day
If you haven't put your name on the list yet, then do it soon - £10 will give you 8 shots of whiskey, it's gonna be a great night - a chance to learn a little bit about the making of whiskey as well as helping us to raise a bit of money for the Duchess of Kent charity

With the Queens Jubilee celebrations approaching, its gonna be a busy month

The lord said to John "come Forth and you shall be given eternal life" but instead, John come fifth and won a toaster

That's all for now

Kind Regards
Dave Alder
Club Secretary
