Good Day Gentlemen Just a quick reminder of the clubs opening times over the Easter Weekend. A little bit different to previous years. Open   Saturday            16th April     12:00 noon  -  11:30 pm Open   Easter Sunday   17th April     12:00 noon  -  8:00 pm Open   Easter Monday   18th April    12:00 noon  -  8:00 pm Yes, that's right .... we are open Easter Monday !!!! Easter Celebration 2022 Extra Extra !!! BBQ

 

Good Afternoon Gentlemen On behalf of the social committee BBQ - Extra event on Easter Sunday  Trevor will be hosting his world famous BBQ.  £2.50 for a Hot Dog or Burger. Easter Party The social committee are celebrating Easter with a party for everyone, Sunday April 17th is the date for this event, starting at 13:00. Katy Kukstas has worked tirelessly to help create a fun day for all, including a colouring competition for all ages (age groups are, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-11) there is a prize for every child entering with a special prize for the winner of each age group. Entry packs are available behind the bar. In addition to the Easter Colouring competition, every child attending the Event will receive an Easter Goody Bag.  To help the social committee, and Katy, to run the event with the smoothness and grace of a slippery eel, a list has been placed behind the bar for you to add each of the children who wish to enter the colouring competition, and/or are attending the Event. It is important to add children's names to the list behind the bar as we do not want any child to be disappointed and so we need names in advance.  In the function room, there will be a Lucky Dip and Tombola, (these are one of the most popular offerings at the Christmas party) Live singing sensation "Keith" will be in the main bar area, belting out his repertoire of songs from the past, I'm sure most of you have heard him sing before (so don't forget your ear-muffs) and he will be returning here as the demand has requested (at least Trevor Rock has). Peter Owers - Passed Away

 

Dear Gentlemen, I hope all is well with you and your families. It is with deepest regret to inform you that Peter Owers, an 18 year member  of Caversham Working Men's Club, has recently passed away. Unfortunately, I do not have any further details. If anyone has details regarding any arrangements and would like them issued to the membership then please do get in touch. Rest in peace Peter Owers. Tonight is Quiz Night, your general knowledge quiz starts at 8pm with Bill and Guy, its £1 per player with a maximum of 6 players per team.

I got this question wrong in a quiz last night, "where do most woman have curly hair? Apparently, its Africa"

This Friday coming, George Talbot will be running a sweep stake for the Grand National on Saturday, A list will be available from Friday lunch time.

Colin Main has produced a Blog for all the information you need to know about the club, go to cavershamwmclub.blogspot.com, its a great source of info and news

Just a reminder that the Easter party is fast approaching, there are lots of names on the list for the colouring competition, don't miss out on the fun and games, if you haven't put your kids name on the list, do it today, we don't want any tears from the little ones.

Talking of little ones, did you know, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy
