2024 AGM Notification Of Date, 22nd May 2024

 

Caversham Working Men's Social Club

Gentlemen, The Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 22nd May 8.00pm.  Please note, this is a members only event – the club will be closed to non-members. At the AGM the new committee will be voted in.  All Nominations for Committee must have a Proposer & Seconder.  Any proposals for rule changes/additions/deletions should be advised to the committee by the 13th May, 2024. Any AGM Agenda items should be advised to the committee by the 13th May, 2024.. Any nominations for Committee Membership should be advised to the committee by the 13th May, 2024. The Agenda and Balance Sheet and Statement of Accounts for the year ending 31st December 2023 will be available online by Wednesday 8th, May. You will be notified. Good Afternoon Gentlemen Thursday 7th is the closing date for ordering fish and chips - So add your name to the list by end of Thursday Please Quiz Night with Guy and Dave tomorrow Night - starts at 8pm - £1 per person - Maximum 6 players per team There are less than ten seats available on the coach for Goodwood Races on 4th August - so be quick if you are thinking of going That's All For Now!

For Members who have not yet renewed for 2024. Subscriptions for 2024 are now overdue.

We have quite a few members who have not yet renewed.

 

Please spread the word.

 

If you have not renewed your membership, you have until the end of February to do so, with added fees. After that date you will have to re-apply.

 

 The rate is as follows:

 

Members under 65:	£25.00
Members 65 and over:	£20.00

 

+£5 late fee if renewing in February

 

Subscriptions can be paid at the Bar

Afternoons & Evenings.

 

Subscriptions will not be available after 8pm on Friday evenings

Good Afternoon Gentlemen We have today been informed of the passing of William (Bill) Blessett His wake is being held at the Caversham Golf Club on 23rd February The Funeral for Ron Doe will be held on 16th February at 1.15pm at The Streetly Crematorium 296 Little Hardwick Road Walsall WS9 0SG That's All For Now! Good Afternoon Gentlemen Good News!! Seniors afternoon will be on Wednesday 21st February - Please note the following All Senior Club Members are Free to attend - Just add your name to the list behind the bar Any Non-Member attending, there will be a small fee of £2 - Please add your name to the list and pay when doing so Six Nations Rugby starts on Friday 2nd February with France taking on Ireland in the opening game of the tournament Quiz Night is Tuesday 6th February Sad News!! We have been informed by Caroline Langdon of the passing of ex-club member Roy Wilcox - As yet there are no details about the funeral - Roy became a non-member in 2022 - Some of you may have known him - Our condolences to Roy's Family and friends Rip Roy Wilcox We have also been informed of the sad loss of our longest serving member - Ronald Doe was member number (1) - Ron passed away on the 19th January at the age of 91 - We have sent our condolences to his wife Joyce - Daughter Sue and son Steve Rip Ronald Doe That's all for now! Good Afternoon Gentlemen Wishing you all a Happy and Joyous New Year Following a very busy December - I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to the successful December Program A special thanks to all the staff who worked tirelessly to give an outstanding service to our members In January we have Fish and Chip Night - But first its the Quiz Night Tonight is the first quiz of 2024 - It starts at the usual time of 8pm On Saturday 13th its fish and chip night - The list is behind the bar - closing date is Thursday 11th January Remember: Membership Fees are now due - You may collect your card from today! - £25 for Under 65s and £20 for Over 65s That's all for now
