Good Morning Gentlemen
Saying goodbye to 2024 is like saying goodbye to a perfect glass of highland malt whiskey
Throughout 2024 your membership has continued to support this club in every way possible and for that I thank you all from the bottom of my heart - For Colin and I, you have given us a relatively easy year in relation to the running of this great club of ours, you have also supported those members you elected to represent you onto the committee - for which I personally thank them for the support and encouragement they have given to the Secretaries throughout the year.
I hope that 2025 brings you all the happiness and good fortune that you all very much deserve - Your continued support for this club is the most vital ingredient in the most unpredictable yet, the most encouraging future - The friendships that you make, the joy and laughter that your bring with you when you enter the club, the smile on your face when you greet other members with warmth and gratitude - I see these ingredients every day, and because of that you have enabled this club to thrive in the most harshest of economic and political climate in many centuries - Thank You
To the Staff - I give my biggest thanks for their dedication and hard work throughout 2024 - They have proven to be the most popular of bar persons to have served the members - It has been a pleasure for both myself and Colin to watch the staff work under the supervision of our bar manager Sue - I hope that the members continue to give the staff the thanks they so richly deserve
With the support from Colin, Guy, and the committee, 2024 has in my opinion been the most successful so far, so thank you fella's for everything
I am looking forward to 2025 with a joyful heart - I hope you are too
I wish you all a very happy new year
Oh, but wait, that's not all
You really should try archery with a blindfold on - You really don't know what you're missing
2025 starts with QUIZ NITE on Tuesday 7th January
Fish and chip night is on Saturday 11th - The list is behind the bar - I know we don't have a lot of time between now and the 11th - but I'm sure you will give your support for this great night out - Unfortunately we have had to increase the cost to £8 per person, yet, I still think that this is still good value
"what do you call two men holding up Drapes at the window - Curt and Rod"
